Rudi is a circular and innovative project. We remove textile waste from landfills and reduce its negative impact on the planet. We transform it into a new material, resistant and durable, to produce all kinds of furniture, spaces and construction materials.
Recycling clothes is no longer enough, is time for it to move on to a better life.
Transforming the way things are done. Reusing everything that is thrown away to give it a new life.
Welcome to the ‘R’ era!
The average lifespan of a piece of clothing is two years…
That of a concrete* piece of furniture is over 100 years.
*Concrete is the material that bears the most similarities to our new raw material in terms of its characteristics.
At Rudi we use textile waste to create a new material that we use in the manufacture of products that have nothing to do with clothing:
Furniture
Interior design
Construction
A new
raw material, created for
a new era
Transforming garments in a new raw material with a long life span.
Rudi is the innovative, circular solution to reduce textile waste. We remove it from landfills and reduce its negative impact on the planet. And we transform it into a new material, resistant and durable, to produce all kinds of furniture, spaces and construction materials.
A further step
in the
circular
economy.
We rethink the way the textile industry works and the way it disposes of its surplus production.
We recycle 100% of the garments and 100% of the materials regardless of their composition or colour.
We redistribute textile waste by taking it out of the traditional circuit of the textile industry and giving it a new life in other industries.
We reuse clothes. But not to generate more, but to turn it into something completely different: furniture, interior design materials and, soon, construction materials.
We reduce the carbon footprint of the textile industry by 330* tonnes per month – and we’re just getting started! The more companies we work with, the greater our capacity will be.
We redesign sustainable furniture, making it elegant, functional and fashionable.
We recover the planet to leave a better world for our children.
*Calculation based on the assessment carried out by ECO-TLC (France) and which supports the MODA RE report by Caritas, among others carried out at an international level. This organization estimates a carbon emission savings from textile recycling of 25 kg of CO2 per kilogram of reused clothing, equivalent to a new garment. This factor is increased by 10, considering the minimum estimated durability of 10 years for our furniture and construction elements.
